Getting us to the ‘Tipping Point’

It’s hard to believe that “The Tipping Point” by Malcom Gladwell turns 20 this year – and yet it’s never been more relevant. Assuming many marketers who receive this have likely read the book*, perhaps you recall the concept of many smaller movements led by a contingent of influential contributors, leads to a larger, “contagious” movement….a Tipping Point.

Although the COVID-19 situation has reached pandemic status, a sort of tipping point of its own, we’re also convinced that the principles from the book will be what ultimately brings us out of this – and, at the same time, stronger, more connected and more committed to each other than ever.

What better way to take part in one of these smaller movements than by uniting behind our local organizations finding inspiring ways to come together and support each other – especially those most in need. Here are a few:

At Ferguson, we’re very lucky to be in a situation where, regardless of our physical location, we have the tools, the resources and the dedicated team to continue to operate at a high level and support our clients and community in whatever ways we can. And with that, we’re hopeful to contribute however we can to the smaller movements that will lead us out of this.

Especially in times of isolation, it’s important to not lose our sense of community and connection to each other. That’s how we reach this unique and historic moment’s “Tipping Point” and start to move forward – together.
